“Aquila” is a sailing and cruising yacht, and not only that ... she is an internationally known and admired Hallberg Rassy 42E, built in Sweden in 1981. She carries hull number 31 of the 255 42s which were built from 1980 until 1991.
Hallberg Rassy is regarded as one of the top European yacht builders.
“Aquila” is the kind of yacht which is spacious, comfortable and extremely seaworthy as proven during her long world cruise – she has seen many countries and islands!
We have been asked many times, “What does the name “Aquila” mean?”
There are two associations with her name: “Aquila” is identified as an eagle in the Greek mythology, and, in addition, it is the name of a constellation.
